v     Dale Conklin

v     Kathy Franklin

v     Susan Krieger

Please note that the May quilt show & challenge is a HUGE job & more help is required to help pull this off successfully!  Last year’s prizes were phenomenal, & it’s a tough act to follow, but we’ll try! Please consider adding your name to the sign-up list.

The Challenge Committee presented the rules for this year's challenge at the September meeting.   For those who may have missed it:  In honor of the year 2010, there are 20 rules listed, and you must choose 10 of those for your challenge.  (Don't panic - it's not that hard!!!)   In addition, you must use some of the fat quarter that is provided.   As usual, your piece must be finished (quilted, bound, labeled) in time for our May meeting in order to be part of the contest.

We voted at Sept. meeting that ALL work must be done yourself, including the quilting.

Packets and rules will be available again at the October meeting.

*TIP OF THE MONTH

Can’t remember where I read this so I can’t give due credit but I love this!  To keep your lint roller from sticking to things you don’t want it to stick to (like rulers, etc) glue a pretty fabric to a drink mix container using tacky glue. I used a Crystal Light can-4 cup size-& Aleene’s tacky glue.  The lint roller, even when full, fits in here perfectly.

Do you have a tip or anecdote to share?  This is your newsletter & we’d enjoy input from everyone.  Please send to pgrimm@hvc.rr.com by the 25th of  next month.  If you read it in a magazine, etc. please give credit to the author. Thank you.
